BOSTON, MA (December 12, 2022) - Chris Walton is a Boston based singer, songwriter, and producer embracing a blend of classic soul, jazz, and funk with a modern aesthetic. Walton is equally comfortable writing intimate, introspective love songs or upbeat retro pop tracks as heard on his debut album, Ruminating Thoughts is now streaming on all major platforms that listeners can enjoy. This album is a culmination of his music up to this point, including recent releases “Soon” and “Cravin’,” that left fans eager to hear more from the chilled-out crooner. Inspired by the likes of Stevie Wonder, early John Mayer, and Daniel Caesar, Chris has created an album of smooth, jazz kissed songs that tug at the heart strings of listeners with effortless relatability on love and loss of love.

“Cravin’” emodies an infectious classic R&B sound that implores listeners to get lost in the music. Paired with classic, soft drums and romantic honeyed vocals, this song is the epitome of what should go into a proper sultry Sunday morning soundtrack as Walton sings of the constant desire that is everlasting for the one you love. Ruminating Thoughts started like any other Chris Walton project. He wrote the songs and went through several rounds of revisions and edits to create the demos. The coolest part of all of this for him, though, was getting to spend 2 months recording the album in Nashville at a friend's studio. He really valued being able to take the time to experiment with recording techniques and fully immerse himself in the creative process. Not to mention, the inspiration he drew from seeing other artists around Nashville working on their own hustles undoubtedly lit a creative fire that came across in the brilliant details within each track on the album. Walton hopes that any listeners being introduced to him for the first time through this body of work will find a piece of themselves somewhere in the album.

Chris Walton is a singer, songwriter, and producer currently based in Boston, MA. He's developed a classic sound with a modern aesthetic, drawing on influences from neo-soul, to jazz and funk. He released his debut EP, "Bsides" in 2018, and sophomore EP "Fade" in 2020. He just recorded his debut album in Nashville, which will be ready for your ears in January 2023. Following the album release, he's planning to hit the road in early 2023.
