Pop-Rock Princess Amelie Jat Gifts Listeners With New ‘Better’ EP On Her Birthday

After the fantastic response on social media to “Better” from Jat’s 2022 Mixtape, ‘CINEMATIC!,’ the ‘Better’ EP pays homage and adds new life to the original track with an energetic sped-up version and a stripped moody piano version.

LONDON, UK (January 26, 2023) – In celebration of independent singer songwriter Amelie Jat’s twentieth birthday, she is inviting listeners to join the celebration by gifting two deluxe versions of her already-loved single, “Better,” on January 29th. The Better EP is an exciting blend of emotions and soundscapes as they shift from track to track. “Better” explores the seemingly universal realization that staying in a relationship because of familiarity won’t stop pre-existing toxic cycles; that anyone in that situation deserves to be treated “Better.” The Better EP features Amelie’s iconic original release that first debuted on her mixtape, CINEMATIC!, as well as two remastered versions that give listeners what they did not know they have been craving from this emotional track.

The first remaster is a deep, moody piano rendition that showcases the raw vulnerability that Jat has poured into every lyric of this song. This ballad version of “Better” embodies a more somber feel reminiscent of being at the beginning of heartbreak and wrestling with your thoughts. The sped up version delivers a bright burst of contagious energy that will leave fans invigorated and serve as an exciting gift for those that fell in love with the original track on TikTok. TikTok fans everywhere have fallen in love with creating content from high-energy, sped up remixes of their favorite songs, and Jat has delivered exactly what her fans are needing to show their love for this fan-favorite track. With deep-rooted inspiration from artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Avril Lavigne, and Maggie Lindemann, Amelie Jat’s sound is as powerful as they come.

Jat is not only releasing the Better EP on January 29th, but she will also be releasing live sessions of some of her most iconic songs to date! In anticipation of the ‘Better’ EP drop, the live session for “Better” will be released on Youtube on January 26th as a first listen. Throughout February, Jat is planning to also release a live music video for her singles “Electric Butterflies” and “I’m Out.” These live sessions will not be released with the EP, but are incredible projects fans can look forward to. 2023 is shaping up to be an incredibly rewarding year for Amelie Jat, and she is just getting started!

More about Amelie:

Amelie Jat transforms her most honest emotions and experiences to create her own original sound of genre-blurring, diary-like pop tracks. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she discovered her love of the drum kit at the age of 3 and swiftly shifted her passions onto playing orchestral percussion, such as the four-mallet vibraphone.

Starting with a sound of bedroom pop production, she has now crossed over into the pop punk universe with influences like Maggie Lindemann, Avril Lavigne, and LØLØ. A multi-instrumentalist who began songwriting on her childhood bedroom floor at the age of 11, she is now a verified artist and hopes that her music will reach people and connect with them.

Stepping out of her comfort zone and taking on a new direction, Amelie has released 3 new pop-punk singles in 2022, all co-written & co-produced with Grammy-nominated producer James McMillan. Since the release of “I’M OUT”, “Therapy” & “Electric Butterflies” (which has surpassed 129k YouTube views), she has gained 85k TikTok followers, with her most viewed post being close to two thirds of a million views, and the newest 2 singles are currently on over 350 Spotify playlists worldwide. Her new mixtape “CINEMATIC!” is an extension of her most chaotic, shaping, and memorable moments as she moves through life and comes into her own, and is every main character’s soundtrack.
